Crespi Carmelite High School is a Gurian Model school that understands that boys and girls learn differently. The school employs three certified trainers that travel the country teaching other schools how to teach to boys. Why does Crespi Carmelite High School work for young men? It is more than sports. We understand boys. We understand that there are ways of helping boys work up to their potential. Making education about them, not about the girls they are sitting next to. Our faculty is taught how to engage the boys in their individual areas to make it useful to them.
For example, one Crespi teacher has taken thematic instruction beyond the confines of the classroom. American Literature teacher Gabriel Griffith highlights the spirit of the outdoors that permeates the writing of America’s authors, and Crespi students get the chance to experience nature first hand with Mr. Griffith in the Crespi Mountain Men Club.

And while many boys shy away from the fine arts, Crespi Carmelite High School has just completed an 18,000 square foot building, dedicated to the Fine Arts. Although Crespi Carmelite High School generally is known to have an elite athletics program through sports such as football, basketball, soccer, and baseball, the area of fine arts is even more impressive. The Crespi commercial on television last year was a “total” student project! We just paid for the spots.

Crespi Carmelite High School is one of the only schools in the Nation to offer Taiko drums as a Fine Art class as well as a Physical Education credit.

Come see Crespi Carmelite High School and find out what else we do. You might even find out more about one of our service projects that takes our boys to Mexico four times a year called “Crossing Borders”, or our revolutionary “Men’s Study“ class called Becoming a Man. It is no wonder that boys are traveling great distances to attend Crespi Carmelite High School.
